AN INTRODUCTION TO PHOTOGRAPHY TECHNIQUES
The workshop is aimed at teens between the age of 11 and 16 years old. It is usually a 4-5 week workshop with sessions once per week of 1.5/2 hours each which are very practical. I strive to get students to fully understand their camera and it's settings, whilst encouraging them to drop Auto mode and move into full manual mode - creating a photo rather than taking it.
The workshop is suitable for beginners or enthusiasts. Since it's a practical session, everyone can challenge themselves as much as necessary depending on their level. I provide them with all the guidance and knowledge necessary, and set up different types of shoots for them to be able to practice different techniques. Students require a DSLR to join the workshop, but if not available, one could be rented from me. The final session is usually an editing session were they would learn basic techniques on how to edit photos such as; lighting techniques, cropping techniques, masking techniques and more. |
